“In our latest track, Nakama. and I ventured into uncharted musical territories, blending the abstract, textural soundscapes influenced by Flying Lotus with a fusion of strings, electronics, and hip-hop. The beat is an experimental tapestry, created through the intricate process of granulation and produced using a unique approach to hardware with an interconnected network of devices. This process has birthed a sound that is both unique and unprecedented yet resonates with the familiar undertones of alternative hip-hop. Nakama., formerly known as ENxVE The Nameless Vagrant, has been a pivotal figure in New York City’s music scene since 2013. Starting with his collective 99SUBLIME, which blended Hip-Hop, Jazz, R&B, and Experimental Electronic music, he has consistently pushed creative boundaries. Joining Poetic Thrust as a lead vocalist in 2015, he further showcased his talent in fusion music and introspective songwriting. Renaming himself Nakama. in 2019, he delved into self-produced Hip-Hop, exploring storytelling and metanarrative. His significant contributions include multiple albums and EPs, notable live performances, and collaborations with various artists.
