Robert Ramirez is a newcomer to the electronic music scene. The inspiration and direction of his sound is founded in a deep passion for pioneer synthesizer artists from the late 70’s/early 80’s, with a heavy focus on Japanese artists such as Yellow Magic Orchestra. By indulging in these pioneer artists’ music by way of their original vinyls while utilizing the same vintage synthesizers from decades past, Robert’s goal is to pick up where these artists left off. A particular focus of his work(both audio and visual components) is leaning into science fiction and space-age textures, energies, and storytelling. While this will be Robert’s first official release, he has been writing and recording music in New York City for almost a decade. The natural influence of modern music and technology, blended with his mission to revitalize an old sound, results in music that is both reminiscent and revitalizing.
